According to producer Oren Koules, who spoke with USA Today, SAW 3D will be the end of the SAW Franchise.

Producers and star Tobin Bell will make the announcement Friday at Comic-Con during the film’s footage presentation. “It’s time to stop,” says Oren Koules, a producer on all the Saw movies. “We have told the story we wanted to tell, and this is going to be a great farewell.”

I’m not going to lie, I’m a little sad that it will all be coming to an end, but I’m also pretty excited to see how they wrap everything up. According to the producers, this film has 11 different traps as opposed to around 5 in each of the previous films. So there’s definitely going to be more bloodshed. As for the 3D aspect, I’m still not fully on board, but as I’ve said before I will see it in the theaters in 3D and then again in 2D when the Blu-Ray comes out, so I’ll hopefully get the best of both versions.

Another interesting note is that the film was sent back to the MPAA 6 times before it finally received an R rating instead of NC-17.

USA Today also included a couple new pictures in the article, one of which shows Hoffman pushing some sort of contraption and the second one shows a man hooked up to a trap in a very public setting.

SAW 3D comes out October 29th.
